The Countywide effort to undertake an annual count of Sonoma County's homeless is occurring next Friday, January 23rd. From 6am to 10am, hundreds of homeless guides, driven by volunteers, will fan out throughout the census tracts to specific locations where homeless have traditionally slept. Homeless not residing in shelters funded and operated by partnerships between government and nonprofit organizations - will be counted during that four hour period.
More volunteer drivers are needed. Here's your chance to contribute your time and driving skills to help chosen homeless guides collect this essential information.
